Like a lot of folks I was skeptically optimistic about the latest government release of UFO files, images and videos but a good friend Christopher Jordan of the Curious Realm Podcast reminded me that these data dumps are not for me. They are not for those of us who already know that UFOs are here and that some advanced being created them and is piloting them. These data dumps are for the folks who need to get up to speed on what the rest of us already know.
There’s nothing revelatory in the files, but the files did bring confirmation, at least to this UFO Investigator. I was quickly scrolling the images at the top of the page when I paused on one image and read the description:
“2024-04-30 COMPOSITE SKETCH – ACTUAL SITE PHOTO WITH FBI LAB RENDERED GRAPHIC OVERLAY DEPICTING CORROBORATING EYEWITNESS REPORTS FROM SEPTEMBER 2023 OF AN APPARENT ELLIPSOID BRONZE METALLIC OBJECT MATERIALIZING OUT OF A BRIGHT LIGHT IN THE SKY, 130-195 FEET IN LENGTH, AND DISAPPEARING INSTANTANEOUSLY.”
This is of particular interest to me because this is very much what I saw walking home from the school bust stop in the 1970s. I have told the story so many times to so many people.
For those who don’t know my story I’ll give you the short version. I was walking home from school with a boy when he pointed up and said “they’re watching us” and I looked up to see a smooth metallic disc – kinda shaped like an M&M hovering over our head. Silent and smooth. It was surrounded by a mist or cloud and beautiful colors that reminded me of an Opal. The object was there and then it faded out of sight and was gone, then it was there again and then gone… I remember the craft being smaller and more silver in color but this is an almost perfect depiction of what I saw and remember.
Imagine you’re standing directly beneath this thing when it appears or “materializes”… that light could look like a cloud or mist to a child… I didn’t know what I was seeing. It didn’t make sense to me, I just called it an oval metal cloud. I’m still in shock to see a government website releasing classified UFO files describing events that I’ve been describing to people my entire life. Events that are not your normal UFO sighting… but what is a normal UFO sighting? It’s all strangeness to us human, high strangeness.
So yes, the latest data dump isn’t going to move the dial when it comes to global UFO disclosure but for a lot of folks some of these videos and images, even the ones that have been created to illustrate something that was reported, are going to bring a kind of confirmation to many people out there who have reported a UFO to MUFON or been telling a story about the time they saw a UFO to friends and family their entire lives.
It’s going to take time for the average human to get up to speed on what’s going on with UFOs in our world and I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t know who they are or where they come from but I’ve seen them with my own eyes, and I know they are here.
