Doctor of Engineering

We were just getting to know Chantal and exploring life’s mysteries together. When Chantal visited my home for a MUFON Team BBQ, even though it was said to bring only yourself, she arrived with a beautiful house plant! A classy and generous move indicative of the generation she grew up in.

Chantal told us a little bit of her amazing life experiences, such as: being the youngest ever, and first ever, female professor at UCLA. Working with Dr. Hal Puthoff on projects she could not go into detail about, other than to say, Hal demonstrated remote viewing to Chantal in a way that proved it was real. (It involved locked file cabinets behind locked room doors, behind posted security guards – it was a big deal).

Carpooling to and from Contact in the Desert, 2024, Chantal and I had mind-melting conversations and I learned even more about her incredible life and the ideas the academic world is exploring, as it pertains to what we now call UAP. One of the things Chantal revealed, (that I had also heard in other places) is that law enforcement, has and continues to, frequently engage remote viewers in hard to solve or missing persons cases. But they will never say that out loud due to the “woo” aspect.

Chantal held an engineering degree, worked in aerospace and taught the future generations. All while working with the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), and joined us on the MUFON Team to help those who have seen or experienced something make sense of it, or at least get some type of closure and understanding to the best of availability.

Even though I only had the privilege of knowing Chantal for a few years, I instantly saw she was a maverick and trailblazer, on an unstoppable quest for truth. Without regard to stigma or societal acceptances, Chantal boldly explored the weird and wonderful in the most scientific, intellectual and professional of ways. She was inspirational to me and all who met her.

It is with great sadness in my heart to learn she transitioned into the non-physical realm on August 18th, 2025. I was looking forward to another dinner with her to share more stories, memories and experiences…

Even though I know, or at least, I think I know, Chantal is not fully gone, but in a different realm, it is sad from this human perspective to know I will not be able to share her company once more in this physical world.

Dr. Chantal, thank you for being our friend. And thank you for paving the way on this unending quest for truth. May your beacon of light shine upon all you have encountered, forevermore.
